Neighborhood

WILCO is positioned in the heart of Westlake, adjacent to Koreatown and surrounded by Downtown LA, Silver Lake, and Echo Park.

Westlake is a historic arts community established in the 1920s and is now undergoing a renaissance. Chouinard Art Institute was founded here in 1921, eventually becoming Cal Arts. The Otis Parsons school was established in Macarthur Park in 1918. Today, the surrounding landmarks of The Westlake Theater, The Hayworth Theater, The Levitt Pavilion Bandshell, The Wiltern, and The Macarthur (former Park Plaza) all serve the neighborhood as destinations for arts and entertainment.

Today, Westlake and its surrounding neighborhoods offer some of Los Angeles’ best dining, cultural experiences, shopping, and activities in Los Angeles today. WILCO apartments in Westlake, CA, were designed and built to reignite this former arts community and engage its sense of place within the city.
